In its July 2026 roundup, Google recapped a wave of AI announcements aimed at developers, consumers, and communities. The updates span new models for scaling production agents, a major robotics model, integration of Gemini Intelligence into Samsung's latest Galaxy devices, and a new research tool called Gemini Notebook.

For developers, Google introduced three new Gemini models: Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber. These are built to deliver higher token efficiency, lower latency, and more reliable performance to enable scaling agentic workflows. Additionally, Gemini Robotics ER 2 was launched as Google's most capable 'embodied reasoning' model, letting systems chat naturally, understand their surroundings, and work through complex, multi-step tasks.

On the consumer side, Gemini Intelligence launched on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8, and Android 17 now includes a native migration experience for transferring more data types wirelessly from an iPhone without a separate app. Google also highlighted Gemini Notebook, a standalone product identical to NotebookLM, for streamlining research.

Other July updates include next-generation music and video tools, deeper integrations between Search and Gemini Spark with everyday apps, a new skilled trades alliance, new satellites for early wildfire detection, and a vision statement from Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis about the current AI moment.
