Introducing Quine: An AI research system designed for the complexity of biology

Biology does not operate in silos, and Microsoft Research argues that neither should the AI representation of it. Quine is an early-stage research effort to create a multimodal world model of biology that connects insights across biological scales and modalities.

This approach is intended to help scientists computationally search a hypothesis space far larger than intuition alone allows and prioritize hypotheses before they reach the lab. Experimental results then provide important feedback, helping researchers sharpen future research directions.
