Try Google Pics: Easy image creation and editing in Google Workspace

Google PicsNano BananaGoogle Workspace

Google Pics, a new image creation and editing tool from Google Workspace, is rolling out over the coming weeks to all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and most Workspace business customers. Built on Google's Nano Banana image generation and editing model, Pics is designed to give users precise control for tasks such as designing posters, producing social media posts, and editing digital illustrations. It will be both a standalone product and integrated into Workspace apps, starting with Slides, Docs, and Drive.

The tool includes fine-tuned editing capabilities. Object segmentation lets users isolate an object and transform it without altering the rest of the image, supporting text comments on specific areas for targeted changes and the ability to execute multiple edits at once. In-image text editing and translation allows modifying or translating text inside an image without disrupting the design or changing the font. Users can share creations with friends and teammates to collaboratively edit the same image, and multiple generations produce several options from a single prompt so users can pick their favorite.

To make the experience seamless across Workspace — where millions of users interact with billions of images every month — Pics is being integrated directly into Docs and Slides starting today, with Drive following in the coming weeks. This removes the need to copy, paste, or switch tabs between applications. Users can try it at pics.new.
