Launch HN: Almanac (YC S26) – AI that knows your company

AI agentcompany wikiY CombinatorAlmanac

Almanac is a new YC S26-backed AI agent designed to know a company deeply. It runs on its own computer with its own browser, files, and logins, and stays signed into a user's tools; you can text it work and it reports back when done.

Almanac connects to tools like Slack, Gmail, Granola, and Mercury, then compiles what it learns into a self-updating company wiki. Before doing anything it reads the relevant wiki pages, so it grounds actions in context (e.g. March pricing holds noted from email, Vercel CSV bug from Slack). Every wiki line links back to its source, and users can browse, correct, or add to the wiki; corrections are incorporated into future behavior.

It can proactively get things done: examples in the post include triaging customer Slack messages, filing GitHub issues with repro steps and screenshots, drafting a renewal deck with fourteen months of usage data, answering pricing promises, and pulling receipts from Uber/DoorDash to attach in Mercury. It also answers questions about what was promised to whom.

Access is controlled: it can only see accounts you connect, every connection is visible and revocable, and teammates don't see your personal attached accounts — the shared wiki only contains the useful understanding (decisions, not inboxes). Shared accounts are added explicitly by the organization.
